Saturday Subic Surprise!
February 19, 2008
You know those times when you just wanted things to be spontaneous, unplanned and definitely adventuresome? Well, last Saturday brought us this chance and I could say that it really was a one-of-a-kind experience.
One minute, Jekki, Nina, Doryll and I are in the pad of JR who recently came home from Taiwan and celebrated his 20th birthday that night with us.
The next time you know, we are in Subic!

Yes, in Subic, which is way miles away from Manila. Sleepless from last night’s party, the trip was all made impromptu, no one mentioned about where to go and what to do. We just finally concurred when we arrived in the bus terminal. Lo and behold, a trip going to Olongapo is leaving in 5 minutes! Coincidence? Well, I just think we’re meant to travel!
There, we went to the City Mall, ate in Kong’s - the oldest restaurant in Olongapo, drove along Subic Bay, strolled around Zoobic Safari, and finally shopped in Royal Duty Free Shopping Store.
And so, I’ll reserve the next stories with our pictures below. I am definitely looking forward to more travel surprises. Enjoy!
Olongapo, I choose you!
Three hours later, we’re here!
The housemates in Olongapo - feeling tourists!
Kong’s - serving good food since 1930!
Archie: “What’s SBMA again? ” Nina: “Subic Bay Main Area?!”
Zoobic! Up, up and away!
No idea why we’re doing this.
Always behind the group… always away from the tour guide!
Hail! Hail my queen!
A mule, a pony or a donkey? It’s because we’re not listening! Tsk, tsk!
The camel has such a big face, he might accidentally kiss me!
The Rodent World and the three blind mice
Doryll and me. Don’t worry Jek, you have lots of close-up pics with Dorrie.
Aren’t we just lucky? We always own the ride!
All excited to encounter the tigers!
Roar! Winning shot by Jekki Pascual!
Who says we can’t do it in public? It’s sexy time!
With the talented Aeta’s… plus someone else!
Nina and me in Takeshi’s castle… just kidding
Looking good with the souvenirs? Nah, we didn’t buy them.
Bye Zoobic! Next stop, shopping in Duty Free!
Sleepless yet we all had a great time! Until the next travel surprise!

Know Me
Exceptional
A word that fittingly describes this man. The sure stride and booming voice and loud laugh and a distinctive mole near the lower left portion of his face makes him unmistakable amidst a crowd. With no dull or boring moment with his company, those spontaneous gimmicks, crazy jokes and conversations brighten your moment with him, making him such a delight to be with. But beneath such vibrant personality lies a profound and well-grounded individual who does not settle for anything second best, and who lets his passion for excellence drive his every action. Strongly family and future-oriented, he unselfishly dedicates his plans and achievements to them. Without doubt, this talented individual would go places, farther than where he has envisioned himself to be in. For it is his great mind and humble heart that makes him what he truly is – exceptional.
